Downers Grove Illinois Museums
All 102 counties in the state have at least one museum, and the Downers Grove Museum, a collection of Downer's Grove history and fire history, will be on display at the Downers Groves Museum starting Saturday. It is part of what is supposed to be a year - a long celebration of the history, culture and history of Illinois in general, but also of its history as a city.

Just follow the brown and white signs along the main streets of Downers Grove that lead to the location of the museum and DMG office.

The Oak Hill and Oak Crest Cemeteries are located on Maple Avenue and Howard Street in the non-incorporated Downers Grove development in Lisle Township. The grove had a station at the subway station in the 19th century and in this grove it enabled so many inhabitants to build modern houses. Downer's Grove also benefited from the construction of the Chicago Public Library and Illinois State Museum of Natural History since the 1940s.
The Downers Grove Park District built its first public park in the early 20th century with the construction of the Downer's Grove Center.
